  • Investor means a person who contacts us regarding co-investment or our investor network.
  • Visitor means anyone who browses this website without submitting information.
  • Submission means any text, documents, or other material provided to us through this website.

2. Non-Personally-Identifying Information

Like most websites, we collect non-personally-identifying information that browsers and servers typically make available: internet service provider, IP address and approximate location, browser type and version, operating system, the date and time of each visit, referring site, pages visited, and search terms used to reach the site. We collect this through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

We use this information for internal review, traffic auditing, trend analysis, site administration, and improving the website. It is analyzed in aggregate and not used to identify individual visitors.

3. Personally Identifying Information

What we collect. When you apply for funding or contact us as an investor, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, country, company details, and business information. Application forms and meeting scheduling are hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Bookings) and are subject to Microsoft's privacy practices in addition to this policy.

Children. This website may not be used by anyone under 13 years of age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): if we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will remove it. Parents or guardians may contact us to request removal.

Communications. We use your contact information to respond to your application or inquiry, schedule meetings you request, and send communications related to your application. We do not send promotional email to applicants who are not selected, beyond communications related to their application. You may opt out of communications at any time.

IP addresses. We may use IP addresses to verify identity, protect safety and security, and control access to the website.

Historical data. We retain records of applications, communications, and site activity as needed to evaluate applications, manage investments, identify liability, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms of Use.

4. Cookies and Consent

This website uses cookies set by our analytics tools (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager) to distinguish visitors, measure site usage, and improve content delivery. Analytics cookies are not set until you accept them through the cookie banner; if you reject them, analytics remains in a cookie-less, aggregate-only mode. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, and you can also set your browser to refuse cookies. The website functions either way. We do not use advertising cookies.

This website links to third-party websites and embeds third-party services, including Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Bookings, and LinkedIn. Those sites and services operate under their own privacy policies, and Get Startup Funding is not responsible for their practices.
